Photodynamic therapy is a physiotherapeutic treatment method based on the application of non-thermal light energy with a specific wavelength.
It is a modern method of treatment without disturbing the integrity of the skin.
The therapeutic effect of photodynamic therapy is based on accelerating the healing and skin renewal processes, increasing the level of metabolic processes, activating cellular energy and stimulating skin immunity.
Under the influence of trauma, inflammation or aging, skin cells lose the ability to actively renew themselves. Under the influence of certain wavelengths of light radiation in skin cells energy recharging takes place, active cytokines are released and cellular immunity reactions are stimulated.
A certain spectrum of light therapy wavelengths has a specific effect:
Red spectrum (620 nm) - stimulation of collagen production. Red spectrum light waves penetrate most deeply into the skin, increase blood circulation and metabolism, stimulating the growth of new blood vessels and collagen production to firm the skin. These properties are used in the treatment of ageing skin and acne (to prevent post-acne scarring). Red waves also have a soothing effect on the skin, regulate sebum production, shrink pores, promote the production of MNF - a natural moisturizing factor and increase the skin's ability to retain moisture in the deep layers. The effect of the red spectrum in the treatment of pink acne has been clinically proven.
Orange spectrum (600 nm) - pigment spots. Light waves of the orange spectrum have a detoxifying, immunomodulatory and regenerating effect on the skin. This spectrum of light therapy is indicated in the treatment of "tired" atonic skin, after diseases, sun exposure, for the skin of smokers.
Green spectrum (530 nm) - vessels. This wavelength of the green spectrum has a soothing effect on irritated, redness-prone skin.
Blue spectrum (470 nm) - acne. The light waves of the blue spectrum penetrate the least deeply and have a powerful anti-inflammatory effect on the skin. Blue spectrum phototherapy is devoid of the negative aspects of ultraviolet radiation. It is especially indicated in adolescents, for dark skin, as well as in case of low effectiveness of standard therapy for acne, both juvenile and late acne. Light waves of this dyna have a pronounced antibacterial effect, directly affecting Propionibacterium acnes, prevents new exacerbations of acne, the effectiveness is comparable to BPO (benzoyl peroxide), but without the irritating effect.
The yellow light is restorative. It is suitable for "polishing" the skin - making it soft and smooth.
White light is anti-stress. It has a relaxing and calming effect on the body.
Indications for use:
♥ Acne
♥ Hypersensitive skin
♥ Rosacea
♥ Premature skin aging
♥ Reduced skin tone
♥ Pigment spots
♥ Hair loss
♥ Stretch marks
♥ Eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis
♥ Long non-healing skin wounds and ulcers
Contraindications to use:
Ø Elevated thyroid function
Ø Malignant neoplasms
Ø Active form of tuberculosis
Ø Pigment metabolism disorder (porphyria)
Ø Taking medications that increase sensitivity to light
Ø Cardiovascular diseases in decompensation stage
Ø Severe exhaustion
Ø Epilepsy (for pulsating mode of phototherapy)
Ø Autoimmune skin diseases.
Ø Pregnancy
Ø Presence of pacemakers in the patient
Photodynamic LED therapy has a healing effect on the skin due to the light waves, eliminating tissue heating and harmful ultraviolet rays.
The safety of this therapy method has been proven in many clinical studies, even for the most sensitive skin.
Light therapy visibly revitalizes tired and dull skin after a short session (15-20 minutes).
It can be used all year round and is free of negative post-procedural effects (redness, flaking, bruising, etc.) as a non-invasive method of therapy. The effect of light therapy is noticeable after the first session, and the course of treatment provides a prolonged result.
